New Shit! is a new, monthly literary open mic in Amsterdam welcoming queer and trans writers to read their prose, poetry, and creative writing works in progress.

Open mics aren’t the actual work of writing, but they’re a necessary reminder that other writers are in it with you—and that words and stories are important to all of us. We hope this mic helps you keep doing the work.

No stand-up comedy, music, or theatrics. No slam poetry. No published works. All languages welcome.
